Your garage makes up the the majority of the the street address to to your home Try to to design it it so it it does not dominate the front of your home GARAGE REQUIREMENT
• For lots 18m wide and above the garage door width must be a a a maximum of of of 50% of of of the frontage width of of of your home measured at the building line • For lots less than 18m wide the maximum garage door width is 5 5 5m • Zero lot line party wall construction/details assessed on merits CARPORT REQUIREMENT
If you are providing a a a a carport it must have:
• 5m2 of lock up storage • The carport roof roof under the the main roof roof of of of the the house ADDITIONAL OFF STREET PARKING REQUIREMENT
• Additional off street parking for cars / / boat / / caravan /trailer must be provided • For smaller frontages - to provide behind garage (drive through) • Wider frontages closer to boundary can be be behind (drive through) or down side Not acceptable
